Is the GPA on Naviance accurate? ›

Yes, the numbers may indicate that you are in the right range generally, but they don't take into account your fit with the institution, the strength of your essay, or any recommendation letters.

Navigate to https://succeed.naviance.com and click Sign in with Naviance ID. Enter your email and password, and then click Log In.

But that doesn't mean you have to lose access to your Naviance account. By changing your username and password, you will be able to use your Naviance account well beyond after you graduate.

Naviance Student is a free application that allows students to search for colleges and to manage tasks associated with the college admissions process.

Hey there! A 4.6 weighted GPA is definitely an impressive accomplishment and can be considered competitive for many selective colleges. However, it's important to note that colleges often evaluate your unweighted GPA and the rigor of your course load alongside your weighted GPA.

Is a 2.5 GPA good? The answer is No. The national average for a GPA is around 3.0 and a 2.5 GPA puts you below that average. A 2.5 GPA means that you've gotten only C-s and D+s in your high school classes so far.

Naviance aggregates data on student GPA and test scores which are translated into a graph for counselors, students, and families to visualize their odds of acceptance at a given school compared to previous students.

Students are able to report where they are applying to college and request letters of recommendation and transcripts from their Naviance Student site for allcolleges they are applying to.

Do I have to use Naviance? Yes. Naviance is how you will request transcripts and letters of recommendation, and is the way that the counseling office knows to send which of your materials to which schools. The school also sends a school profile with each application, and this is automatic when you use Naviance.

Naviance allows you to link multiple students with one parent record. Once the records are linked, the parent can sign in to a single Family Connection account and select any of his or her children to view.

Should you use your school email for Naviance? ›

You must use the same student email address that you use for Naviance.

Use the Scholarships and Money section in Naviance Student to search for scholarships and maintain a list of scholarships for which you are applying. Parents and guardians with Naviance Student accounts can search for scholarships and review their student's list of Favorite Scholarships.

In general, a 3.0 GPA or higher is widely accepted by college advisors, internship programs, and potential employers. Anything above a 3.5 is often considered outstanding and may lead to honors designations at graduation and special distinctions/designations on your actual diploma.

There is no doubt that Naviance provides students with much-needed information about colleges, but their scattergrams are not helpful in determining the likelihood of acceptance to universities.

GPA and test scores are updated in Naviance twice a year (after first semester grades are reported and after second semester grades are reported). Naviance is only able to report one GPA—the academic (9-12) unweighted GPA. Colleges do not have access to the GPA and/or test scores reported in Naviance.

It depends on whether you've taken weighted classes or not. If you've earned a C or higher in a course like AP Spanish or honors calculus, for example, your cumulative GPA will be weighted. Your GPA will not be weighted if you took only standard high school classes or if you earned a D or F in an advanced course.

Pros: The software, when understanding how to use it, really helps with the college application process. It makes it easy to send documents to schools. Cons: It doesn't have a user-friendly approach to it.
